HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN FONTS? LEARN THE EASY WAY

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a font made exclusively for you? ( I love this idea so much!)👻

So let’s talk about fonts in this post! Have you ever tried to make one? Even if you haven't ever thought about that, after reading our post you might get motivated to create one.

I'll tell you how I decided to try my font design and why you should also try to create your own font! This is a very exciting venture to explore and reinvent your creative muscles.
Why are fonts important?

Fonts give our content a powerful form and feel, which will affect how it is viewed and interpreted. These day typography in the sense of responsive web design is particularly important. The fonts are the foundation of a successful work of design. Choosing the wrong font for your logo, banner or billboard may make your attempts unreadable, and may even scare away your audience. A poor font is an immediate turn-off for the viewers.

If you still have second thoughts on the importance of fonts just have a look at the picture below!

Insane right?💥😂

Now, this is how I created my first and named it font “Teddy” (don’t ask why :p). I used 2 tools for this:

1. iFontMaker:

This tool has a wide variety of features and is a font editor for ipad. You can create various typefaces in less than 5 minutes and then install it on your computers. Have it embedded in your document editor and start playing around.

These are some of the images of the tools:

It also supports many different languages

2. Metaflop:

Metaflop is an easy to use web application for modulating your own fonts. Metaflop allows you to easily customize a font within the given parameters and generate a large range of font families with very little effort. Most importantly it's FREE!

DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FONT AND A TYPEFACE?

The distinction between font and typeface is that a font designates a specific member of a type family such as roman, boldface, or italic type, while typeface designates a consistent visual appearance or style which can be a "family" or related set of fonts.

A typeface is the design of lettering that can include variations, such as extra bold, bold, regular, light, italic, condensed, extended, etc. Each of these variations of the typeface is a font.

There you go, pals! Now, create amazing and funky fonts which you can also upload on WordPress, and who knows you might give a good competition to “Times New Roman” 😎
